A BUG’S LIFE

i was simply wondering…are lebanese poeple bugs???are they toys??? i seriously can’t find a word to describe a lebanese seen with the eyes of a european and specially through the eyes of americans!!! obviously the fire will not stop until we’re all dead or crashed like bugs!!! they’re playing with us just like toys to be able to get what they want…
I guess the lebanese lives are just not valuable enough…we’re living a bug’s life not knowing when or where we will be crashed…
Now we know how it feels like to be a bug…

Well said…

I think had they looked upon as bugs, they would have probably treated us with better dignity.

Please do not confuse the actions of the US government with the will of the people in the US. The polls here indicate 70% of the population do not agree with what our own government is doing. I have not seen cynicism in our media at this level, basically everyone regards our president as a total moron. (And he is.)

a american friend of mine brought a friend of hers to see lebanon for the summer, she was sceptical about coming to “the land of terror” at first, but loved every inch of lebanon. she actually told me that you were not what i had pictured you to be, i didnt even want to ask her what that was although i pretty much had an idea. it just goes to show that american media absolutely adores the lebanese people, and arabs as a whole. hopefully shell open up the eyes of more americans when she gets home.

Sean, no one confused the will of the people with the actions of your government. But you can’t help but notice how biased the media is. As long as there are biased broadcasting companies such as CNN out there, the American people will always stereotype Arabs as terrorists. I believe what Sandoulig meant was that the American people although not at fault, the media does affect thier outlook on all Arabs.

Sean you are correct we should not forget this fact: the majority of Americans do not support their government’s actions and policies be they in Lebanon or otherwise.

In this madness it is easy for us to be blinded by rage and to naturally assume that the whole world is our enemy, forgetting that there are humans like ourselves in all corners of the world.

We should never succumb to this evil and become limited in our visions, it is a limited few that is making everyone’s lives on this planet a misery. The majority of humans, regardless of their nationality want to raise a family in peace.
